If you are into your digital camera and would like to make those minor edits and just plain have more fun with your photos then this might be the ticket for you. Corey Barker has a web site Adobe Photoshop Elements Techniques, dedicated to the program that might help get you started and he also has a weekly pod cast. Check it out.

Red Eye Removal

Here is a little red eye removal tip that will work in any version of Photoshop. If you are using Photoshop CS2+ then you can also use the Red Eye Tool. Actually the Red Eye tool is great. It can be found in the tool bar grouped with the Healing Brush, Spot Healing Brush and the Patch Tool. With the Red Eye Tool all you have to do is click in the red of the eye and and you are done.

With Photoshop CS or older it is also very simple. Grab the paint brush and make the size of the brush as close to the size of the pupil. Once you select the Brush tool and have sized it, you need to change your blend mode of the brush to "Color". You can find this in the control or property inspector across the top from the drop down. Now just paint the Red Eye away with this brush.
