Last night my students finished their semester at BCC in my class BIT 285 Advanced Vector Graphics where they spend the semester learning Adobe Illustrator and more advanced levels of Adobe Photoshop. Well I am here to post their final projects, Enjoy.

While we are worrying about the specter of print's demise, the death of hand-painted billboards and wall paintings is happening right now. Fortunately, the brewers of Stella Artois beer have funded an excellent short documentary about the arts and crafts persons who climb high to make monumental images. "Up There," directed by Malcolm Murray, is based on an idea by the ad agency Mother New York and produced by Mekanism with music by The Album Leaf. Shot over two months, the film tells the stories of the New York painters who are struggling to keep this method alive.

Russell Brown over at Adobe has always been very funny and a ton of fun to watch when ever he demos any of his newest tips and tricks. Well Russell gave a wonderful presentation at the Adobe Photoshop 20th Anniversary event held last week in California. I is a must watch event, especially if you have been using Photoshop for a while. He gives a very unique old and new tech presentation, this give a whole new meaning to multimedia presentation.

Life is very busy and I know that my blog has taken a back seat, well it will continue to do so. I am keeping the blog up and running, just not going to blog all the time.

As we start the new year you will see a lot of best of things from 2009. Here is very cool look at what is being done in the movie industry and use of green screen technology. I love stuff like this. My son and I just went last night to see the new Avitar movie, and it was AMAZING!
