Do you need an image that doesn't have enough resolution? Well if you only had that image in Vector format. Well will Adobe Illustrator CS2 or CS3 you can have your Raster image and your Vector too.

Not to many people have heard of Adobe Photoshop Elements. Most people have heard of the big brother Photoshop, which is more expensive and much more to learn. If you are into your digital camera and would like to make those minor edits and just plain have more fun with your photos then this might be the ticket for you. Students Go WIld!

My BCC BIT-285 students went wild this semester and used Photoshop to create mutant creations. I thought I would show case them here on my blog for every one to see. They had a lot of fun on these as you will see, but many hours wnet in to them. See them here.

Turn a Photo into a Sketch

Here is a process that I get asked about every now and then, so I thought I would help every one out and show this on the blog. I hope to do a lot more of these video tutorials in the future. I hope you find it useful.

Red Eye Removal

Here is a little red eye removal tip that will work in any version of Photoshop. If you are using Photoshop CS2+ then you can also use the Red Eye Tool. Actually the Red Eye tool is great. It can be found in the tool bar grouped with the Healing Brush, Spot Healing Brush and the Patch Tool. With the Red Eye Tool all you have to do is click in the red of the eye and and you are done.

With Photoshop CS or older it is also very simple. Grab the paint brush and make the size of the brush as close to the size of the pupil. Once you select the Brush tool and have sized it, you need to change your blend mode of the brush to "Color". You can find this in the control or property inspector across the top from the drop down. Now just paint the Red Eye away with this brush.

With the Adobe CS3 Suite hitting desktops, every one likes resources to learn all the new features and get great tips and tricks. There is a a InDesign User Group on line that has a big list of links and podcasts to help out any level of user. This is a robust site full of information, check it out.

Draw on Line

Here is some thing fun and it is free. If you like to Doodle or Cartoon, this is the place for you. RateMyDrawings is an online drawing community. Draw online any time or enter our themed drawing competition each month. Once you've created a drawing, users view and rate your animated drawings. It's a great way to learn to draw!
